Questions before you buy
Frequently asked questions about pricing, sessions and refunds
Straight answers on what Plainspoken costs, how long a session runs, when money comes back to you, and how open you can be about using it.
Pricing and plans
- What does it cost?
- A single session is $9. Starter is $29 a month and Pro is $59 a month, each with a set number of sessions included. There is no setup fee and no contract.
- Can I try it before paying?
- Yes. Every account gets one free practice drill so you can see the coaching style, the cues and the scored debrief before you spend anything.
- Can I change or cancel my plan?
- Any time, from the billing link on your account page. Upgrading charges only the difference; downgrading or cancelling keeps your current sessions usable until the period you already paid for ends.
Sessions and limits
- How long can one session run?
- Up to about 35 minutes, which covers a typical 30-minute interview with room to spare. The timer is visible while you work.
- Do unused monthly sessions carry over?
- No. Monthly sessions reset at the start of each billing period and unused ones expire. Single sessions bought on their own never expire.
- What counts as using a session?
- One live interview or one full mock from start to debrief. Reading a past debrief, exporting your history or adding your own question list costs nothing.
Refunds and billing
- What if a session fails?
- It is returned to you automatically — if the microphone never opens, the coach fails, or you stop within the first two minutes, the session goes straight back to your balance.
- Can I get my money back?
- Yes. Any purchase can be refunded in full within the guarantee window shown on the refund policy page, no reason needed. Refunds go back to the card you paid with.
- Who handles the payment?
- Stripe processes every payment for Logusman Inc and sends your receipt. We never see or store your card details, and your account page lists every credit added or removed with dates.
Openness and privacy
- Is using this fair?
- Plainspoken is a preparation and coaching assistant, not a hidden teleprompter. It gives short reminders drawn from your own experience so you can tell your story clearly under pressure — the answers stay yours.
- Do I have to tell the interviewer?
- That is your judgement call. The tool is built for open use and makes no attempt to conceal itself if you share your screen, but nothing obliges you to announce it.
- What happens to my recordings?
- Audio is transcribed and immediately discarded — it is never stored. Transcripts, scores and history stay in your own browser and you can wipe them in one click.
